about

"I've been saved from a lukewarm faith." I wrote this song to draw people into the real callings of Jesus: to trust and obey and serve him with all of their lives. The North American church is full of spiritually obesity and needs to get obedient. "Wake Up!"

lyrics

When someone’s clinically dead, does it help to tickle their ear?
Or do they need a shock?. Nurse, we need a defibrillator here
Clear, lets clear the air, I have been saved from a lukewarm faith
Went from believing Jesus in word to an active radical grace
Wake up! I’m not tip toing around with no sensitive words
Wake up! The church is asleep while the devil’s at work
Ya they’re Caught up in themselves, ya they’re, caught up in their wealth, ya they’re
Caught up in appeasing the world and feeling what their feelings felt
Hey, lets make our own God, one that cool with all our ways
As if they’ll be in judgment seat on judgment day
They don’t fear the Lord, they fear their friends
The beginning of wisdom has come to an end
No Shadrach, Meshach, Abednegos, many knees have bent yo
His will be done, and when the religious don’t come - to the table
Lets hit up the highways and byways for the poor, blind and disabled
Cut the cable and seek his face while he may be found
The steeples don’t hold his presence in reverence but a movement’s underground
We stay grounded to his word, man and it’s a light unto our feet
Because where we stepping into, there’s a whole lotta of uncertainty
My middle name is theodore, I guess nobody told ya
I ain’t no theologian, but I’m a theo-soldier
Radical obedience above every other ingredient
Make him your master, forsake all your mediums, and your pointless meetings
If you really love him, you’ll obey his commandments
If you really love him, you’ll fall in love with every of one his standards
Which are not burdensome, so let go of all your idols
They’re weighing you down, get in the Bible, you want revival, gives up your rivals
Cut the traditions and start making disciples
Put aside all of your pride and stop claiming your titles
A priesthood of all believers, catching a fever to reach the lost
They don’t want cheap grace, no way, they’re ready to count the cost
Make him your boss, are you in the faith, take the test
Many good Samaritans are now too busy checking a text
Being busy stands for being under Satan’s yoke
Don’t be deceived by the pleasures of life and the weeds that will choke
The reason I wrote is for all the folks that are in the same boat that I was
Living lukewarm, but not in the Lordship of the rock of Zion
I’m crying and weeping for the current state of the churches
Get offended but in revelations 2 Jesus said it first - when he says
You’ve left your first love. You ain’t got the heart of the son
So repent, and turn back to the only one
Worth living for, surviving for, and even dying for
Trust and obey, there’s never been a time he wasn’t providing for
Ya, don’t build up treasures on earth but treasures in heaven
Hell is real and the devil’s deceptive, =
I’m terrified that many sit in pews and never hear the real call of Jesus
‘Follow me’, now that’s what makes a true believer
The best apologetics is the miraculous power of God
The best miracle is a broken and contrite heart
Will you take them stones like Stephen?
Face shining but they want you bleedin'
Submit to fear or walk in freedom
Let me ask you this- Are you all in for Jesus?
I hope these lyrics pierce into a few Christian bubbles
Is your foundation on obeying Christ or religious rubble
Understand that this ain’t judgmental hypocrisy dude, ain’t trying to be rude
My life didn’t match what I claimed, ya, I’ve been there too
Felt like I had full vision, didn’t need to climb no sycamore tree
I was sick as can be, thought I was free, thank the Lord, he humbled me
The tares hate this, but the wheat have joy
The goats hate this, but the sheep rejoice
